Szöllősi Estate

Szöllősi Winery is a family business and one of the Neszmély Wine Region most important winemaking companies. It lies 65 km west of Budapest in the centre of the wine region. Its atmospheric cellar was built by Gróf Miklós Zichy in 1830 and here tradition meets modern technology. Its climate is perfect. The wines age in 4,500-hectolitre, temperature-controlled stainless steel and 350-hectolitre oak barrels.

The tradition of grape production in the Neszmély Wine Region can be traced back to Roman times. Its northern aspect mean the climate is suitably cool and precipitous. The ecological qualities give grapes grown here rich flavours and good acidity. Outstanding quality wines have been produced here for a long time.
